A state Governor is the head of that state. Chief Minister of the state has all the executive authorities but the executive actions are taken on the behalf of Governor. Governor always work on the advice of a group of ministers that is led by the Chief Minister(See the List of Chief Ministers of Haryana). Term (Time Period) of governor's office is generally 5 years. Currently Satyadev Narayan Arya is the governor of Haryana state. Since 1st of November 1966 when Haryana emerged out from Punjab as a state , 16 persons served Haryana as a governor as given here.
